Nikon’s new Z Series camera system is a bold, future-focused move for the company – and they partnered with Sub Rosa to create an equally statement-making experience to introduce the new innovative product system to press, media and key influencers.

Our concept for the launch was inspired by the inner workings of the Z camera itself: the way the light travels through lenses to create new, surprising images. This structure inspired every aspect of the event, from the directional layout of the floor plan to a visual system that incorporated modern, playful holographic and transparent treatments.

The layout afforded seamless opportunities for attendees to test-drive the key features of the product suite. An explorable set of interactive installations – from a ‘flair’ bartender to prismic backdrops to contortionists – encouraged shooters to try a range of settings.

This was built as an ownable, durable concept that could be used by Nikon through future launches, content, and product moments. The event resulted in over 50,000 photos being taken and over 375MM media impressions.
